Vilnius Institute for Advanced Studies (VILIAS) is an independent community of distinguished scholars and young researchers committed to furthering social sciences and humanities through interdisciplinary dialogue and inquiry. We believe that ideas of value are born only when the borders of countries and institutions, disciplines and cultures are freely transcended. Upon this notion VILIAS is being built: a place for scholars and young researchers coming from different academic and research institutions of Lithuania and the wider region of North-Eastern Europe to meet in a cozy space and atmosphere fine-tuned to delve into research of their own choice as well as to enter into open intellectual exchange.
